I am George Skouras, Electrical & Computer Engineer from NTUA and founder of Aikon Technologies, the official distributor of AxxonSoft in Greece and Cyprus. With over 25 years of experience in the security systems industry, my professional journey led to the founding of Novo Technologies in 2005, and I now focus on designing and implementing complex, integrated solutions that combine AI video analytics, thermal cameras, IoT sensors, and advanced control centers with PSIM/VMS platforms.

As an AI Solution Architect and Project Leader, having participated in more than 300 successful projects, I have collaborated with leading organizations such as Vodafone, Edathess, Eldorado Gold, Costa Navarino, Motor Oil, IBM, Interamerican, Metro, Sklavenitis, Toyota, Unipharma, Aktor, Egnatia Odos and Lamda Development, as well as with critical infrastructures including ports, municipalities, military, airports, customs, marinas, and correctional facilities.

Notably, I led the design of innovative systems such as the Parnitha Smart Forest (commercial name OmniForest AI), a pioneering early wildfire detection project using panoramic thermal radars, IoT sensors, and artificial intelligence, for which I secured a patent from the Greek Industrial Property Organization.

Additionally, I have developed specialized software solutions such as the Aikon Bridge Middleware, which integrates custom-trained artificial intelligence models, Access Control systems, IoT sensors, alarms, PTZ cameras, and software like AxxonSoft's Axxon One VMS into a unified security ecosystem — achieving a limitless system with high flexibility and reliability. Other innovations include Theft Spotter for shoplifting detection using AI gesture recognition, CityRoad AI, an AI-powered traffic management and road safety platform, as well as advanced violence, weapon, and abnormality detection systems for smart city applications.

My philosophy goes beyond simple equipment supply, offering customized automation, advanced AI control and image acquisition centers, and continuous technical support. I regularly share my expertise through articles and presentations at international conferences and educational seminars, as well as through consulting — aiming to highlight the value of artificial intelligence in creating safer and smarter environments in our modern technological world.
